The Church of England published a prayer Tuesday to help comfort Britons who lose their jobs in the financial crisis.

I’m sure this will help those out of work. Yes, the cynical side of myself speaks (What? you ask. There is a non-cynical side?). In reality I’m sure this offers little solace to those who have or will be losing their jobs. Maybe the church should stop printing useless ads and help people out.

It would be nice if the church fed the hungry as well as offering prayers. But the church is made up of its members who are only people. If a prayer opens the hearts of the employed and comforts the unemployed it was a good thing to do.

Nice post, I’m not super religious, but recently got the axe and it’s comforting to at least read. I will keep this in mind.
